Recipe for Dominican Habituela ~ Elder Shattuck style!

Half pound of beans, soak overnight.

Hour or so the next day before you want to eat it add water and boil the beans until softer (you can squish with fingers) . add a bouillon cube, cilantro. pumpkin cubed too!

Cook onions and green peppers in a fry pan with 3 cloves crushed garlic for a little, add about a cup of tomato sauce.

Add all that to the boiling beans, simmer for 20 or more minutes. add oregano if you want. White goya beans are the best for this recipe. Serve on top of white rice.

Half pound of beans and pound of rice is good for 2 HUnGRY
people. Enjoy!
